Hi! My name is Chris Walker.  I have always had a love of creativity and thinking outside the box. That manifested itself in writing stories, making videos, and generally expressing myself in any way I could. In my college career, that interest in creativity led me to pursue a career in video production and filmmaking. I discovered this love of video after making a video for a class in college, and looking back now I realize that I loved everything about the process of bringing an idea to life visually. 

Once I discovered my love of video, I began making my own short films and became determined to learn everything I could about the craft. I began taking classes such as screenwriting, and cinematography, where I learned how to write stories for film, and how to compose a scene for the screen. Starting out with my own films, I had to be creative in how I would make my ideas come to life, and use whatever resources were available. Now, I have more resources, but my scrappy background means that I can remain calm in the face of surprises, and I can use inventive thinking to solve problems as they arise. 

After I graduated, and began working fulltime as a video editor and freelance Filmmaker, my love of the craft has only grown, and I will continue to pursue new challenges and opportunities in the field.

In addition to my creative and professional pursuits in video, I am also an avid cyclist, car enthusiast, and tinkerer who just loves to build things. As for the cycling- I have participated in bike races all over the state. Besides the obvious benefits that cycling provides for me- general fitness, a sense of community, and strong legs; I have also found that cycling has helped me develop strong problem solving abilities- such as knowing what to do when I or a friend gets a flat tire, a mechanical issue, or even when I get lost. While cycling is very different from video production, I find that the feeling of getting “in the zone” while on a good ride is not dissimilar from the feeling I get when working on a creative project in which everything “just clicks.” Now, I'm a fulltime Cinematographer and owner of Asterisk Imaging video Production company, and I've had the pleasure of working wits some great companies and individuals from all over the world!
